Today 29 July 2011 I was Kitesurfing again at Storsand, on the west coast of Finland. I hurted my foot yesterday when wakeboarding in Bosund, but I tried anyway to kitesurf. People had been at Storsand all the day, but I managed to get there when I had finished working. I went there with two buddies, my wife was there already. The wind came from North, that is what it should do when kitesurfing at Storsand. It sunny and awesome. And painful for my foot. Read more
So X-games has been held, and as well the Kitesurfing nationals in Finland. The only problem was the wind. There were no wind on the saturday when it was supposed to be, and on Sunday it was windy for a while, so that the competition could be started, but not finalized. But there were a lot more to do, some Wakeboarding, some stand-up-paddleboarding, the Finnish snowboard and ski-pro´s were doing sick tricks in the big air on the beach (!) outside restaurant Dyyni. The 2011 season started with some kitesurfing at Tarifa for me, but now the Finnish water has got a touch of my bails as well. The kitesession at Lauttasaari (Laru) was quite nice, even if it was quite crowdy and with quite gusty winds. There were about 15 kites out there, and the water is starting to get warmer all the time. Read more
